Who is responsible

Winetastr is run by Morten Kruse Søndergaard, Denmark, as a private person. Questions about your data: contact@winetastr.com.

What we store

  • Guests: name and email (given by the host who invites you), your answer to the invitation, notes about diet, messages you write, wine orders, ratings and notes, and quiz answers.
  • Hosts: name, email, MobilePay number if you add it, and the tastings, wines and guests you create.
  • Sign-in: your email and when you last signed in.

Why

To run the tastings you are invited to or host: invitations, sign-in with a one-time code, orders and payment overviews for the host, and the quiz. The legal basis is that it is necessary to provide the service (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)) and, for guests, the host’s legitimate interest in organising the tasting (art. 6(1)(f)).

Who can see it

The hosts of a tasting see their guests’ answers, orders and quiz results. Other guests can see your name where you take part together, e.g. in the chat and on the quiz leaderboard. Your notes on the wines are only for you. We never sell data or use it for advertising.

Suppliers

  • Supabase – database and sign-in, stored in the EU (Frankfurt).
  • Cloudflare – runs the website and reads wine labels and wine links with Cloudflare Workers AI.
  • Resend – sends the emails (one-time codes and invitations).

Cookies and storage

No cookies for tracking or advertising, and no statistics tools. Your browser keeps your sign-in, your chosen language and your invitation links on your own device, so you stay signed in.

How long

As long as the tasting or the host account exists. A host can delete guests and tastings at any time, and you can ask us to delete everything about your email.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, or a copy of it, and you can object to how it is used – write to contact@winetastr.com.
